Ways to tie bows and wrap gifts. Methods of crocheting and knitting a bow for beginners Description of knitting - warm wide headband with a bow

Greetings! Prepared “case” for knitting a warm headband with a bow. It turns out to be a transforming headband, i.e. you can wear it in different ways: with a lapel, with a bow slightly shifted to the side, or back. And if without a bow, it will be a turban-bandage and even a cap! This is such an interesting model.

Other images from different options for putting on (like a cap, like a turban, etc.), see the announcement article.

  • She also said in detail:
  • where did the idea for this headband come from?

where, how much is it sold, etc. All information on how to knit a bandage will be presented in a “case” format. .

I wrote in detail about the idea of creating handmade cases

I would like to immediately apologize for the quality of the photos. No matter how hard I tried, the color changed a lot on some. In those photos where the bandage was removed on a mannequin, the color was reproduced close to the original. But, as accurately as possible - where it is in rewound skeins.

To view all the pictures at once, click on the first one - they will open in album format, where it is easy to “scroll through” them.

Preliminary information about the dressing

  • Finished product dimensions
  • The bandage itself is 46.5 cm long, 15.5 cm wide (i.e., height).
  • Bow length 19 cm, width 15.5.

Jumper: 11×4 cm.

Brief job description

First we knit the bandage strip, then we sew the two ends together. Then, we will separately knit a strip for the bow and a very small, narrow one for the jumper. Finally, we place a bow on the bandage in the place where the seam is and tie it with a jumper. And we sew it together.

Pros and cons of such bandages

Like any thing, such a bandage has its “+” and “-”.

On the positive side:
Firstly, it is very warm and textured. Secondly ,
easily transformed. Many people like turban headbands. And in this case, that’s exactly what happens if you take out the “bow”. Third ,
universal in size. It looks great on OG 54-57 if you put it on like a cap. That is, garter stitch in this case acts as an “elastic band”, which gives elasticity and allows the product to stretch when put on. Fourthly,

The stitching area remains under the bow, so you don't have to worry about how the seam will look.

  • It takes a very long time to dry. I washed the bandage by hand in the evening (around seven o'clock). I dried it in a dryer, in a horizontal position, but did not put any fabric under it. So, the bow dried quickly, and the bandage itself took almost two days. Although it is possible that after machine washing this will happen faster.
  • The yarn is a little dyed, next time I'll take a different one.

What you need to knit a headband

1. Knitting needles No. 5.
I used Panorama circular knitting needles, they are quite comfortable. I really like that the fishing line does not twist, as sometimes happens with circular knitting needles. The length of the cable is 70 cm, and the length of the knitting needles is 14 cm. On one of the sites where they are sold, I found information about the quality of such knitting needles.

There is one minus, of course. The fact that the knitting needles are very slippery. But, on the other hand, they do not break like bamboo ones, and will not rust if they fall into water.

In general, the type (or shape) of knitting needles does not matter much - both straight and circular will do. The main thing is that the length should be at least 20 cm, since the fabric is about 16 cm wide (you should also leave a margin so that the loops do not fly off the knitting needle).

2. "Yarn from Troitsk", 100% acrylic, 250m/100 grams.

I shouldn't have been upset that my thread label was lost. I went through my supplies again and found it! Here it is - the power of habit)) It turns out that I saved it. I found out on the website that this is a “wine” color, No. 1425. (!) We knit all three components - the bandage itself, the bow and the connecting strip in two threads.

I can’t tell you exactly the thread consumption, sorry, I knitted from large skeins. I really hope that one of you will tell me after I link.

In my photo the threads are rewound. But this is optional. Simply, we knit by machine, and always rewind the yarn before work. If you are interested in learning how this is done, see the detailed photo MK. I also prepare threads for hand knitting, because it is very convenient - you don’t have to constantly unwind the thread by hand, it slides off the cone itself.

3. Sewing needle with a large eye. The thread is quite dense, moreover, in two folds, therefore, you will need a needle of impressive size. You can see , which shows three options for how to easily thread a thick thread into a needle.

In the photo I specifically showed three different needles, next to a ruler, yarn and regular thread No. 10. I sewed with the largest needle, because... the other two thick threads simply could not be threaded through. Therefore, if you also decide to sew bandages, take care of this in advance. If you don’t have such a needle with a large eye, you can use a crochet hook, pulling the thread through the outer loops.

Techniques used

The next thing you need to understand before you start knitting a headband is, of course, what techniques you need to know in order to knit it. Fortunately, there are no complicated techniques. The bandage is knitted garter stitch, i.e. each time, turning the fabric, we knit only facial loops. So, no you just need to be able to:

  • cast on the loops on the knitting needles, i.e. make a cast-on edge,
  • knit with facial loops.

Description of knitting - warm wide headband with bow

So, we prepared knitting needles and yarn in two skeins. We cast on 26 loops in the usual way (2 of them are edge stitches).

Row 1: slip the first stitch onto the right needle without knitting - this will be the edge stitch. Next, until the end of the row we knit (abbr: Knits).

Row 2: unfold the knitting, we have purl loops in front of us, right? Again, the 1st loop was removed without knitting; we knit all the rest to the end of the row.

Row 3: unfold the fabric again, repeat 1 p.
4th row: after the turn, repeat the second row.

Here I want to immediately dwell on one point. In order for the fabric to look good, you need to knit the loops the same way: if you initially started knitting back wall- so we continue. Accordingly, if behind the front - the same thing. It seems like a small thing, but our threads are quite thick, the tangle will spoil the beauty of the pattern.

For example, the front wall of the loop is captured.

We continue to knit, repeating the 1st and 2nd rows until we knit a strip of the required length. I got 128 rows (not counting the initial and final ones, where they were closed). We measured the length and width.

At the end, close the last row.

I did it this way: I knitted two loops together - I got 1 loop, put it on the left knitting needle, again knitted this and the next loop together, returned the new one to the left. knitting needle And you choose for yourself what is more convenient for you.

It turned out like this

When I finished closing, before cutting the thread, I measured out a longer tail (about 60 cm is enough). It is useful for sewing together the two ends of the bandage.

They put it aside for a while. We will tie a strip for the “bow” and a jumper.

Knitting a bow

Once again I cast on 26 rows with a double thread - that is, the height of the bow should be the same as the headband. I repeated the knitting - 54 rows in total. I closed the loops of the last row and hid the end of the thread.

Knitting "jumpers"

We cast on 17 loops, knit seven rows, and close. I did not cut the thread, because it will be useful when sewing this strip.

The strip was 11 cm long and only 4 centimeters wide. It is better to knit it a little longer and wider. The length is formed from 17 loops, which means that in the future I will take 20 stitches. And I will knit 10 rows so that the strip better covers the seam when we take out the bow.

At first, I didn’t expect that the headband would look great even without a bow, so I didn’t try to make a wide jumper. Now I see that this point is also important. In addition, if it turns out to be too wide, you can roll it up. Again, we must not overdo it, because I already wrote that the bandage dries out for a long time after washing.

How the bandage is assembled when all the parts are connected

So, all three components of the dressing are ready. She puts it together simply.

1. First we sew the large strip knitted for the headband. I sew with a connecting stitch.

Or, when knitting with an auxiliary thread, you can sew along open loops, as in the picture below.

After sewing, I hide the end of the thread and cut it off. Then, I thread the tip of the thread into the needle in advance from the jumper, because then it will be difficult to do this.

I put a bow strip on the seam, and a thin jumper strip on top. Holding them tightly, I turn the wrong side to face me - I take a needle with a thread threaded through it, and sew the two ends of the jumper together. Then, I turn it inside out so that the seam is on the inside (fortunately, when garter stitch both sides of the canvas are the same).

That's it, the warm, stylish knitted headband is ready. I conclude with this. I have been preparing materials for this case for several days to make your work easier. I hope the case materials will be useful to you.

Best regards, Saule Vagapova

Here we will tell and show you how to knit beautiful bows!
When it is useful and also interesting, it is very easy to learn the intricacies of bow weaving in no time.
And when the bow is beautifully tied, all that’s left to do is pick up a gift under the bow and go on a visit.

Bow - signature move gift packaging. Volumetric and sparkling, geometric in shape or directed in different directions, monochromatic or colorful, like a peacock’s tail, it gives the gift a unique look.
Playing with color, shape, combination different materials: ribbons, tulle, wire, feathers and braid for packaging flowers - a field for creativity, imagination and experimentation.
Making a beautiful bow requires an eye, manual dexterity and patience. But do not spare the effort - because in return you will receive an enthusiastic and joyful smile from someone who will admire the presented gift, decorated with your luxurious bow.

1. Terry bow Terry bow(“Rot-rot”) will look more impressive and elegant if you take a ribbon made of hard material that can hold its shape.

We roll it into several rings, the diameter of which is equal to the diameter of the future bow.
Smooth out the loops and make diagonal cuts as shown in the figure.
We fold the loops again so that the cut triangles are in the center of the folded strips of fabric lying in front of us.
Then you should tightly tighten the slits with tape or wire and alternately straighten all the loops on each side of the bow, starting with the inner ones: one to the right, the other to the left, etc.
Let's fluff up the bow and mentally admire the beauty that we have just created playfully.

The photo shows a finished terry bow

Of course, you can buy a blank for a bow and make it by simply pulling a ribbon, but it’s much more pleasant to fold the bow yourself.

1) Make the workpiece by twisting the tape into eight turns - the width of the turn should be equal to or slightly less than the width of the box. 2) Fold the twisted ribbon flat and cut it at the corners, as shown in the picture. 3) Then fold the turns flat again, but changing the central axis so that the cut corners are in the very center... 4) and tie it in this place with a thin ribbon. 5) Lift both parts of the resulting bow up and hold it in one hand. 6) The most crucial moment: you begin to carefully straighten and twist the petals of the bow along the axis, alternating the directions of movement: bend one petal down, the other up. 2. Classic bow
Classic bow outside of time, fashion, space and circumstances.
The main thing is that the ribbon does not wrinkle when tying.
3. Strict bow
Strict bow. Fold the ribbon in half as shown in the picture. We fix the junction of the ends of the tape with glue and smooth it by hand.
Take a small piece of tape (or a different color) to wrap around the unsightly joint.
Glue the ends of the second ribbon to the back of the product - and the bow is ready.

4. Tiered bow
Tiered bow. To create such a bow, you should take three pieces of ribbon of different width and color.
Trim them so that the widest piece is the longest and the narrowest is the shortest.
Form the ends of the bow.
Now tie the folded pieces together with another ribbon, leaving long ends to secure the tiered bow on the gift bag.

5. Two-color bow
Two-color bow. After the previous manipulations, dealing with a two-color bow will be as easy as shelling pears.
We take narrow and wide tapes different colors.
First, we form a loop from a wide tape, fastening its ends with glue, and then do the same with the tape placed on it. narrow tape.
We smooth the resulting “sandwich” tightly with our hands and fix it from the inside in the center with glue or a paper clip.
The final bow is formed using a third ribbon, long enough to be tied to the gift bag.
6. Dior bow
Bow "Dior". Some say that the Dior bow is a more complicated version of the “strict” bow.
We glue together “rings” from pieces of tape of different lengths, which we then connect together using glue or a stapler.
The half-finished bow is placed on a base - a ribbon with cut out ends.
And with a third - small - piece of tape you should disguise the paperclip by gluing its ends to the back of the bow.

7. Flower bow
Bow flower. The first step in creating this fantastic flower will be an ordinary ring, which you will make from a ribbon, holding it with a large and index fingers.
This movement should be repeated until there are more than ten such rings in your hand, depending on the desired size of the bow.
We tie the rings in the middle with a long narrow ribbon, straighten the loops one by one, and secure them to the gift.
8. Chrysanthemum bow
Chrysanthemum bow It's much easier to do than it seems at first glance.
To do this you will need strong tape, wire, scissors and a little more patience than in previous versions.
The beginning of making “Chrysanthemum” is reminiscent of working on a terry bow (see above “1. Terry bow”).
But after fastening the ribbons with wire at the cut site, the time comes to give them the appearance of curly chrysanthemum petals. To do this, uniform cuts are made on the loops folded together.
After this, we begin to straighten the “petals”, turning the loops first to the right, then to the left, starting from the inner ones, first on one and then on the other side of the bow.
9. Bow from a plastic bag The technology is very simple and understandable from step by step photos:
10. St. George ribbon bow for May 9 A St. George ribbon bow is a badge of special valor.
The colors of the St. George ribbon are black and yellow-orange (the ribbon is the color of “smoke and flame”).
By decree of Peter I, the ribbon was a sign of the soldier’s personal valor on the battlefield, then it was a two-color ribbon (bicolor) for the George Cross (Order of St. George) established in 1769 by Catherine II, which was awarded to military personnel of the tsarist army for outstanding personal valor in battle.
In the former Soviet Army, the St. George's ribbon was introduced during the Great Patriotic War as a sign of distinction on the banner of a unit that became famous in battle and for this received the status of a guards unit.
NOTE: Pin the middle of the bow.

11. Simple but effective bow decoration
with curly petals made of plastic braid
We take about a dozen thin, rigid ribbons and tie the gift crosswise with them, fastening the intersection of the ribbons with a tight double knot.
Then we will tie the most ordinary classic bow.
Let's cut its loops in half, iron each one between the blades of the scissors - and before us is another magnificent, spectacular decoration.

Gift packaging Wrap the gift in paper. You can take plain writing paper or colored paper.

Making a gift correctly is an extremely important matter. Original packaging can enhance the effect of a luxurious present or turn the presentation of a simple souvenir into an unforgettable event.
Irregularly shaped items require special soft packaging that echoes their curved lines, drapes beautifully and does not deform the gift inside.
If you have to pack an item of non-standard shape, the simplest solution is to make a soft bag from colored felt paper.
1) Place the gift so that when folded, the sides of the sheet meet evenly... 2) carefully roll up the paper with the gift inside... 3) bend the resulting roll in half, slightly gathering the felt in the place where the object itself ends... 4) tie the resulting bag with any thin ribbon... 5) decorate decorative cord.

Idea: tie painted salt dough figures on long gold cords to your gift.

Flower box Most often we pack gifts in boxes. different sizes. To decorate them more festively, there are two ways: to decorate the box itself, turning it into a kind of flower, or simply wrap it in beautiful paper, decorated with a bow.
Polysilk wrapping paper will help us turn the box into a wonderful shiny flower - it is very soft and drapes well.
1) Wrap the box on both sides in paper, leaving the other two sides of the sheet very long. 2) Gently pulling, gather the paper in the center... 3) tie it with a ribbon... 4) add two stripes of a different color... 5) Gather all the paper together, cut the ends evenly and straighten the petals of the silver flower. Traditional packaging option Box wrapped in colored paper or foil - the most common gift design option.

In the photo: a packed box with a terry bow (see at the beginning of the page “1. Terry bow”).

1) Place the box on a sheet and cut a piece of the size you need - the short end should be closed to 2/3 of the height... 2) and the main surface is 3/4. 3) Then fold the long sides 1 cm... 4) and stick thin double-sided tape on them. 5) Stretch the paper well, wrap the box and seal it. 6) End: Gently fold the paper along all sides of the box. You get triangles, which then need to be folded one by one, gluing the lower trapezoidal part to them using the same double-sided tape. 7) The packaging is ready.
We tie it with a beautiful ribbon and attach a bow.
Gift for a man
Dress code for the bottle
A gift for a man needs a very thoughtful design - it should not be too decorative, but at the same time look festive and emphasize the targeted nature of the gift itself.

Packing a bottle well is a real art.

1) First you need to wrap it in paper, sealing it at the joint with double-sided tape... 2) then carefully shape the bottom. 3) We trim the paper evenly at the top... 4) and wrap it towards the junction of the sides - three turns of 1 cm each. 5) We make two cuts 1/3 of the width of the paper. 6) Bend the corners back and secure them with a stapler. 7) Now we unfold the top part, put a thin ribbon in it and wrap it again. This is our "collar". 8) On the front side of the package we bend the corners of the “collar” with the ribbon threaded through it. 9) Carefully smooth it out with your fingers and tie a “tie” in any convenient way .
Examples of different bows
Now you can make any of them yourself

Every needlewoman knows many ways to decorate clothes or shoes. One of the most popular and universal options decor is considered a bow. This decoration is created from the most various materials and always looks fashionable and stylish. Some of the cutest bows can be made using crochet techniques. This type of bow can be used in different ways.

First you need to determine what exactly you will need to crochet a bow according to the pattern. So, For this work, the needlewoman will need the following materials and tools:

  • scissors;
  • needle and thread (to attach the resulting product);
  • hook (its size depends on the preferences of the craftswoman);
  • yarn (usually it is recommended to use several contrasting tones).

Knitting a bow is very simple. When all the tools and materials have been found, the first thing you need to do is create a base on which the bow will be knitted. To do this, you need to perform a row consisting of sixteen “air” loops. The second row will already consist of fifteen loops, which are made without a crochet. Next you need to make another air loop, after which the future bow needs to be turned over. Repeat fifteen rows without using a yarn over. Thus, continue until you have a rather impressive rectangle of yarn in your hands.

This stage ends with the creation of eight ordinary air loops.

Further description of the crochet bow pattern requires the needlewoman to remove the “tail” of the remaining yarn. After this, to make the future product more interesting and beautiful, you need to tie it with single crochet loops. This action is recommended by many patterns, but you can crochet a bow in another way. Next you need to make the so-called bow strap. Its dimensions may vary depending on the wishes of the craftswoman herself.

However, usually for this element five chain stitches and four single crochets are made. After this part of the product is ready, it is sewn to the bow using a needle and thread.

Application of knitting needles

A good needlewoman should be able to use different techniques for creating clothing items or decorative jewelry. Therefore, in addition to crocheting, you can also use knitting needles when creating bows. Moreover, as many experts who demonstrate master classes on knitting hats and bows note, this technique allows you to make very beautiful things, including details for decorating clothes, as well as bows. Moreover, knitting a bow is quite within the capabilities of beginner needlewomen.

For this job you will need the following components:

  • knitting needles No. 5.2;
  • needle and thread (to attach the finished bow to clothing);
  • yarn (its color depends entirely on the preferences of the craftswoman).

It's easy to crochet a bow according to the pattern. To begin with, you need to cast on about eighteen loops on a knitting needle (seventeen is possible). In this case, there is one purl stitch for one knit stitch. When the first step is completed, you need to turn the bow over and repeat the action, but in reverse order. This method is used to knit a rectangle of the required size.

Often, inserts of yarn of a different color are made along its edges. This makes the product more exclusive and interesting.

In addition, decorative beads or other similar decorations are often added to such bows.

A small strip of yarn is inserted in the middle of the rectangle. This will be the so-called central bow strap. When the product is completely ready, it can be sewn to clothes or a hat using threads.

There are a huge number of options for how you can decorate clothes or shoes - decorative elements offer a wide choice, and many needlewomen like to use this in their work. A bow is a universal accessory that is unlikely to ever go out of style and will always look stylish and interesting. The ability to crochet a bow will not only allow you to enjoy what you love and improve your skills in this skill, but will also enable a girl to easily create beautiful jewelry.

To quickly and easily create a crochet bow, the master class describes the process step by step and in detail. This is a fascinating and worthy activity, especially when you manage to create small and cute bow. It can be used not only as a clothing accessory: a hair clip or brooch will suit a girl. This master class will describe in detail the techniques of simple knitting bows.

To make a crochet bow, you may need:

  • yarn - it is recommended to use two or more contrasting and eye-catching colors;
  • hook - the size depends entirely on individual preferences;
  • needle - to tie a bow with any type of product;
  • scissors.

First you need to do base for a knitted bow. To do this you will need to perform 16 chain stitches in a row. Then 15 single crochet stitches are knitted from the second loop. One is made air loop, after which the product is turned over. Another 15 single crochet stitches are made. This is worth repeating until you get a decent-sized rectangle - then we complete this step with 8 regular chain stitches.

From now on, you can get rid of the unnecessary “tail” of yarn. To make a knitted bow more attractive, you need to tie it with single crochet loops. After this, a “strap” is made for the bow. Its dimensions completely depend on the tastes of the needlewoman; it is usually recommended to knit a regular rectangle with 5 chain loops and 4 single crochet loops (to get 8 rows). The dressing is thus wide and beautiful. Once this is done, you can attach the “strap” to the bow using regular thread.

To tie a decorative bow with a pattern for a hat, you must use pre-prepared schemes with the desired pattern. The technology for knitting a product with a picture is the same as described in this master class.

Volumetric bow for a hat

Crochet items of this kind are great for various items of clothing such as hats, as they are quick and easy to make. Although usually such decorations look like they require serious skills and abilities. In fact, to create a crochet bow, the pattern should only include a couple of easy steps. Therefore, if there are any doubts about whether this lesson is suitable for beginners, you should put these thoughts aside.

To knit the beautiful hat decoration - bow crochet, you will need:

The circuit described in the previous lesson is identical to the following technique. You don't need to study to make a crochet bow. a large number of complex techniques. First, a rectangle is made - you can use 40 air loops, and then make regular single crochet loops so that you get 9 rows.

Now it is necessary tie a rectangle with a different color- in order for this to work out as neatly as possible, you should use three columns on corner loops. Next, you need to tie the beginning and end of the strip together to make a ring - you can use half-columns. Using the same principle, a jumper is knitted, which is then tightly sewn in the middle of the ring. It turns out voluminous beautiful product which can be used to decorate any type of clothing.

How to knit a decoration for a hat, a bow with knitting needles

Decoration made with knitting needles looks just as good and interesting as crocheted. In addition, this is also not a difficult task for those who want to try themselves in this field.

To knit a beautiful bow with knitting needles, you will need:

  • yarn - you can use any colors you want. Experiment with their combinations and combinations;
  • knitting needles No. 2.5;
  • needle - to subsequently knit the product with a hat.

Cast on 17–18 stitches on the knitting needles and knit by following diagram: 1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch. After this, the bow is turned over and knitted in reverse - it is necessary to knit the front loops purl, as well as the purl loops - knit. Thus, a rectangle of the desired size is knitted, which can be complemented with a pattern, a frame of a different color, or sewn-in beads or rhinestones. Interesting option bow counts with long bandage, which can then be put on the baby.

Good afternoon, dear readers!

Today I wanted to talk about how to crochet bows.

Bows are different. We are used to them being made from organza and nylon, satin ribbons and braids. But knitted bows will also be a wonderful decoration for clothes and accessories.

Especially now in the spring, knitted bows on hats, coat collars, scarves tied with a bow, and hairbands with bows are relevant.

Bows will wonderfully decorate decorative pillows, frames, panels, and other household items, as well as various Easter crafts, for example, which it’s time to start making. We'll talk about them next time, but now I want to talk about various options crocheted bows.

Knitted bows

Option 1.

Very simple easy way.

We assemble a chain of air loops with any yarn (preferably thicker) with a length twice the required width of the bow. The hook should be a number smaller than what is usually recommended so that the knitting is tight and the bow does not curl later.

We knit 4 rows of single crochet yarn of one or more colors as desired.

Sew the two short sides together.

In the middle part of the bow we wind the threads tightly - the same ones that were used to knit the bow. We do it carefully, winding thread to thread.

We cut the thread, leaving a long end, thread it into a needle and secure the wound threads to the bow.

A beautiful crocheted bow is ready!

A similar bow can be made in one layer. That is, tie a rectangle the width of a bow and wrap the middle with threads. Simple, isn't it? And very cute.

Let's imagine and connect beautiful bows Not simple columns, A openwork patterns or popcorn pattern.

Despite the Spanish, if I'm not mistaken, everything is quite clear there.

In addition, the video shows how to properly secure wound threads to knitted bows.

Ideas decorative pillows with bows.

The first thing that comes to my mind is the use of bows to decorate pillows. After all, this is my favorite topic, I have already spoken out several times.
